Restore Your Gun Rights

If you’ve lost your gun rights due to a felony conviction, please contact McKenzie Law Offices so we can start the process to Restore Your Gun Rights. During the initial free consultation, we’ll review your case and determine if you qualify under Idaho Code to apply for restoration of your gun rights. That will depend on factors including the type of crime and the time since discharge of your sentence. Restoration of gun rights is statutory prohibited for certain crimes such as:

  • Murder in the First Degree,
  • Murder in the Second Degree,
  • Voluntary Manslaughter, or
  • Convictions with sentences enhanced for the use of a firearm during the commission of the offense.

For other crimes, please consult with us. Remember, if you were convicted of a misdemeanor, your gun rights were automatically restored under state law upon completion of your sentence. If you are eligible, we’ll prepare your application according to the strict guidelines established by Idaho Code and regulation. McKenzie Law Offices will obtain the appropriate certified copies of your case records, obtain verification that you have met state-required financial obligations from your criminal case, and prepare the application. We will help prepare you for your investigation, interview, and hearing. We will help guide you through every step to restore your gun rights.

This is an issue we believe in strongly at McKenzie Law Offices. Curt McKenzie sponsored and carried nation-leading gun rights legislation while a member of the Idaho State Senate, including state-wide conceal carry without a government permit and “campus carry”.  He earned a national award for his legislative work and an A+ rating from the NRA. Darren is a lifetime member of the NRA and an avid gun collector and hunter. We not only know the law, but we will believe in your Second Amendment Rights and we want to help.

The initial consultation is free, so please call us now.
