Parole Granted Despite Recent DOR

B.L. hired us after the Parole Commission had passed him over for a month while he appealed his Class-B DOR. He lost his appeal, so he came back before the Commission was a very recent DOR–never a good thing. However, we were able to get him an Open Date, despite the DOR. We helped B.L. develop a plan to answer questions about the DOR and refocus the Commission on his long track record of good behavior and positive C-Notes. We also helped him develop a solid release plan, which I emphasized in closing. We are grateful that B.L. will be able to be with his family for Christmas and holding a son he had never met in person until now.
